Description

This homemade Brown Sugar is a delightful blend of white sugar and molasses, offering a rich, sweet flavor that’s perfect for baking or sweetening your favorite dishes. Quick to whip up, this recipe is a must for anyone who loves easy, homemade ingredients.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups white granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsulphured molasses

Instructions

  1. Place the sugar and molasses in the food processor and blend on high for 1 minute.
  2. Remove half of the sugar out of the food processor into a bowl. Continue blending the other half of the sugar that remains in the processor for about another minute or until no major molasses lumps are left.
  3. Remove the sugar from the processor and place it in its own bowl.
  4. Place the sugar you set aside, in the processor and blend for a minute or until no major molasses lumps remain.
  5. Combine both sets of sugar and enjoy!

Notes

Ensure that the molasses is unsulphured for the best flavor.
Store homemade brown sugar in an airtight container to keep it from hardening.
