- 16 ounces cream cheese, cubed (full fat)
- ½ cup chicken broth
- 4 cups cooked shredded chicken breast
- ¾ cup ranch dressing
- ½ cup hot sauce (frank’s redhot sauce preferred)
- 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese (preferably freshly shredded from the block)
Instructions
- Spray the slow cooker lightly with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Add cubed cream cheese and chicken broth to the slow cooker.
- Layer the shredded cooked chicken on top of the cream cheese and broth.
- Pour ranch dressing and hot sauce over the chicken layer.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly on top.
- Cook on low for 3 to 4 hours or on high for 1 ½ hours.
- After the first hour, stir the mixture to help it melt evenly and cover.
- Continue cooking until heated through and creamy, stirring occasionally if needed.
- Switch the slow cooker to warm once cooked and serve with tortilla chips or vegetable sticks.
Notes
For a thicker dip, reduce the chicken broth.
The dip can be kept warm for a party by using the warm setting on the slow cooker.
Feel free to adjust the level of hot sauce to taste.
