Description
This Caesar Dressing Chicken is a delightful blend of flavors with tender chicken, creamy dressing, and a crispy topping. Perfect for a quick dinner or a comforting meal any day of the week.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless, thin chicken breasts
- 1 cup caesar dressing of choice
- 1 ½ cup shredded mozzarella, or provolone cheese
- 2 cups crushed croutons
- 4 tablespoons melted butter
- ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese
- salt and pepper, to taste
- chopped fresh parsley, optional to garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375ºF. Spray the inside of an 8×11½-inch or 9×13-inch baking dish with nonstick spray. Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness of ¾-1-inch if needed.
- Season the chicken with salt and pepper and arrange it in the prepared casserole dish. Pour half of the caesar dressing over one side, flip the chicken, and repeat with the other side.
- Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella evenly over the chicken.
- In a medium bowl, combine the crushed croutons, melted butter, and grated parmesan cheese.
- Spread the crouton mixture over the top of the chicken. Bake on the center rack at 375°F for 20–30 minutes, until the chicken is thoroughly cooked and the topping is golden. If necessary, tent with foil if the topping browns too quickly.
- Check that the chicken is done by inserting an instant-read thermometer into the thickest part, aiming for 165°F. Remove from the oven, tent with foil, and allow to rest for 5–10 minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
Notes
Pound chicken to an even thickness for consistent cooking.
Use your favorite caesar dressing—store-bought or homemade.
For extra crunch, allow the topping to get golden brown before removing from the oven.
