Description

This cherry cobbler is all about sweet, juicy cherries topped with a buttery, crispy layer. Perfect for any dessert lover looking for a simple and delicious treat!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 21 oz cherry pie filing
  • ½ cup butter, melted
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  2. Spread the cherry pie filling evenly in the bottom of an 8×8 baking dish.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter, sugar, vanilla, flour, and baking powder. Mix until just combined, avoiding over-mixing.
  4. Spoon the batter over the cherries, spreading gently to cover.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 35–40 minutes until the top turns golden and is set.
  6. Allow to cool for about 15 minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an excellent dessert pairing.
Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
This dish is easily adjustable; feel free to mix in other fruits like blueberries or peaches.
