Description

This Chicken Cordon Bleu Lasagna combines classic Italian comfort food with savory flavors of chicken, ham, and creamy cheese. Perfect for family dinners or special occasions, it’s easy to prepare and truly satisfying!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella
  • 15 oz. ricotta
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon cracked black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 8 oz. cream cheese
  • 12 lasagna noodles (cooked according to package directions)
  • 2 cups chopped chicken
  • 1 ½ cups cubed ham
  • 1 cup chopped bacon (plus additional for topping)
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese
  • Parsley to garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F and grease a 9×13-inch casserole dish.
  • Mix shredded mozzarella, ricotta, eggs, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt in a large bowl.
  • Melt butter in a pot, whisk in flour, add chicken broth and heavy cream, stir until thickened, then mix in cream cheese.
  • Spread sauce in the dish, layer with noodles, ricotta mixture, chicken, ham, bacon, and more sauce.
  • Repeat layers, finishing with noodles and sauce, then top with mozzarella and bacon.
  • Cover with foil and bake for 35-40 minutes, uncover for the last 5-10 minutes to brown the cheese.
  • Let sit for 15 minutes before serving. Garnish with parsley if desired.

Notes

You can use gluten-free lasagna noodles for a gluten-free option.
To lighten the dish, consider low-fat ricotta and reducing cheese.
Storing leftovers in the fridge keeps them fresh for 3-5 days.
