Description

This Cold Brew Coffee offers a delightful flavor with a simple prep. Just combine coarsely ground coffee and water to create a refreshing beverage perfect for any time of day.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup coarsely ground coffee (80g)
  • 4 cups cold filtered water (900ml)

Instructions

  1. In a medium glass or metal pitcher, combine the ground coffee and the water. Stir well to moisten all of the coffee grounds.
  2. Cover and let the mixture sit at room temperature for 12 to 24 hours; a longer brew time will make the coffee stronger.
  3. Set a fine mesh strainer over a large measuring cup or bowl, and line it with cheesecloth or a coffee filter. Slowly pour the coffee mixture into the filter to strain out the grounds, allowing it to drip through the filter before adding more if necessary.
  4. Store the cold brew in a jar or airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week. Serve over ice with sweetener or creamer as desired.

Notes

Adjust the brewing time to suit your taste for stronger or milder coffee.
For a smoother flavor, consider using freshly ground coffee beans.
Cold brew can be stored in the fridge for about a week.
