- 2 cups crushed pretzels
- ½ cup chopped pecans
- ¾ cup melted salted butter
- ¾ cup packed brown sugar
- 8 ounces softened cream cheese
- ⅓ cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 (8-ounce) container thawed whipped topping
- 2 cups diced fresh strawberries
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, combine the crushed pretzels, chopped pecans, melted butter, and brown sugar. Spread the mixture evenly on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 7-8 minutes or until bubbling and lightly browned. Remove from the oven and allow to cool.
- In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract using a hand mixer until smooth.
- Gently fold the thawed whipped topping into the cream cheese mixture until just combined.
- Once the pretzel mixture has cooled, crush it into bite-sized pieces.
- Before serving, fold the crushed pretzels and diced strawberries into the cream cheese mixture.
Notes
Make sure the pretzel mixture cools completely before adding to the cream cheese mix for the best texture.
You can substitute the strawberries with other fruits like blueberries or raspberries.
