- 3 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts (can use frozen)
- 1 28 oz jar spaghetti sauce
- 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 1/4 tsp onion powder
- salt & pepper to taste
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 12-16 count pkg slider buns
Instructions
- Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the crock pot.
- Pour the spaghetti sauce evenly over the chicken.
- Sprinkle with minced garlic, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Cover and set the crock pot to LOW for 6-8 hours, or HIGH for 4 hours.
- Once cooked, shred the chicken using two forks or meat claws, mixing it well with the sauce.
- Lightly toast the slider buns under the broiler, watching to avoid burning.
- Assemble the sandwiches by placing the shredded chicken on the toasted buns and topping with shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Return the sandwiches to the broiler to melt the cheese, keeping a close eye to prevent burning.
Notes
You can use frozen chicken breasts for convenience.
Feel free to add extra toppings such as fresh basil or Parmesan cheese if desired.
