- 1 (8 oz.) package cream cheese, softened
- 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
- 1 (6.5 oz.) can drained minced clams, juice reserved
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
- 2 green onions (white and green parts), finely chopped
- 1 clove garlic, diced
- 1/2 tablespoon dried minced onion
- dash or two tabasco sauce, to taste
- salt and pepper, to taste
- potato chips for serving
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, mash the cream cheese with a fork until soft and creamy.
- Add mayonnaise, clam juice, minced clams, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, green onions, garlic, dried minced onion, Tabasco sauce, salt, and pepper. Stir until fully combined.
- Adjust the consistency by adding more clam juice if needed; usually about 2 tablespoons and 1 teaspoon works well.
- For optimal flavor, prepare the dip up to 8 hours in advance and refrigerate. Serve with potato chips.
Notes
For a spicier dip, adjust the amount of Tabasco sauce to your taste.
This dip can be made a day ahead for improved flavor. Just cover and refrigerate before serving.
