Description

This grilled pork tenderloin bursts with flavor thanks to a tasty marinade of olive oil, apple cider vinegar, and spices. With simple prep and an easy cooking method, it’s ideal for a quick dinner or a healthy meal that the whole family will enjoy.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pork tenderloins 1 to 1½ pounds each, not pork loin
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1½ teaspoons kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika (add up to an extra 1/2 teaspoon to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Pat the pork tenderloins dry with paper towels and trim off any visible silver skin.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and Italian seasoning until well combined.
  3. Place the tenderloins in a zip-top bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Coat all sides evenly and refrigerate for 2 to 6 hours. Remove from the fridge about 30 minutes before grilling.
  4. Preheat the grill to about 400 degrees F, setting it up for two-zone cooking with both direct and indirect heat.
  5. Remove the pork from the marinade and discard the marinade. Sear the pork over direct heat for about 1½ to 2 minutes per side until lightly browned.
  6. Transfer the pork to the indirect heat side of the grill. Cover and cook for 12 to 16 minutes, checking the internal temperature starting at the 10-minute mark. Cook until it reaches 140 to 142 degrees F.
  7. Transfer the pork to a cutting board, tent loosely with foil, and let it rest for 10 minutes.
  8. Slice the pork against the grain into ½-inch medallions and serve.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding more smoked paprika to taste.
Let the pork rest properly for juicier slices.
This dish pairs well with grilled vegetables or a fresh salad.
