Description

This Instant Pot Orange Chicken is a flavorful and effortless dish made with tender chicken and a sweet, tangy sauce. Perfect for a quick dinner or family meal!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 medium chicken breasts, boneless, skinless, bite size pieces
  • 2 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/4 cup orange marmalade
  • 1/4 cup water, or chicken broth

Instructions

  • Cube the chicken and place it in the Instant Pot with barbecue sauce and water or chicken broth.
  • Stir well to coat the chicken pieces evenly.
  • Secure the lid and close the steam valve. Set the Instant Pot to high pressure for 4 minutes.
  • Once cooking is complete, do a quick release and carefully remove the lid. Switch the Instant Pot to the sauté function.
  • To thicken the sauce, mix 1 tbsp of cornstarch with a bit of hot barbecue sauce from the pot until smooth. Stir this mixture back into the pot.
  • Stir in the orange marmalade and let the mixture bubble for about 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Turn off the Instant Pot and serve the chicken over rice.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding 1/2 cup chopped onion and 3 tbsp soy sauce in step 1.
For thicker sauce, adjust cornstarch according to your preference.
If making a larger batch, simply double the ingredients used.
