- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder

- 1 medium yellow onion (peeled and root end removed)
- 4 large garlic cloves (peeled)
- 1 large green bell peppers (stem and seeds removed)
- 6 ounces tomato paste
- 2 (30-ounce) cans tomato sauce
- ¼ cup chopped parsley plus extra for garnish
- ¼ cup unsalted butter
- ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup whole milk
- 12 oven-ready lasagna noodles
- 8 ounces provolone cheese shredded
- 8 ounces shredded parmesan cheese shredded
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Add sausage and break it up as it cooks. Once browned, add garlic powder, onion powder, italian seasoning, kosher salt, and black pepper. Stir to combine.
- Chop bell pepper and onion, placing them in a food processor with garlic. Blend until smooth, then pour into the pot with the sausage.
- Mix in the tomato paste and all tomato sauce, stirring well. Bring to a simmer, cover, reduce heat, and maintain simmer for 1 to 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
