Description

This Noodle Kugel offers irresistible flavor with creamy cheese and a crunchy topping. A simple, comforting dish perfect for any occasion!


Ingredients

  • 12 oz wide egg noodles
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1½ cups cottage cheese
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • ½ cup butter (melted)
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg
  • 3 cups cornflakes (lightly crushed)
  • 6 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 tbsp granulated sugar
  • ½ tsp cinnamon


Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9×13 baking dish with nonstick spray.
  • Cook the egg noodles in boiling water until al dente, about 6-8 minutes.
  • In a bowl, combine sour cream, cottage cheese, sugar, eggs, melted butter, salt, and nutmeg; mix until smooth.
  • Fold cooked noodles into the filling mixture, then pour evenly into the baking dish.
  • Mix crushed cornflakes with melted butter, sugar, and cinnamon; sprinkle over the noodle mixture.
  • Bake uncovered for 60-65 minutes until golden and set.

Notes

For a plant-based version, substitute cottage cheese with plant-based alternatives.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4-5 days.
