- ½ cup sugar
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ⅔ cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 egg (room temperature)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¼ cup sugar
- 36 chocolate kiss candies
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream together softened butter, sugars, and peanut butter until fluffy.
- Add the egg and vanilla, mixing until combined.
- Gradually incorporate dry ingredients, being careful not to over-mix.
- Chill the dough for 2 hours, then roll into balls and coat in sugar.
- Place on baking sheets and bake for 8-10 minutes until edges are golden.
- Press a chocolate kiss into the center of each cookie after removing from the oven and cool on a rack.
Notes
Cookies can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
For gluten-free, use a 1:1 gluten-free flour blend.
Dough can be frozen, roll into balls and store in a zip-top bag.
