Description

Experience the mouthwatering delight of steamed shrimp, perfectly seasoned with Old Bay and apple cider vinegar. This dish is simple to prepare, making it an ideal healthy meal for a quick dinner or a seafood feast. Serve it warm and enjoy the succulent flavors that everyone will love!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 pounds shrimp, shell on and deveined (or tail on and deveined)
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon salted butter
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons old bay seasoning
  • 1/2 lemon, sliced into wedges

Instructions

  • In a large pot, combine the water, salted butter, apple cider vinegar, Old Bay seasoning, and lemon wedges. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat.
  • Once boiling, add the deveined shrimp, then reduce the heat to a simmer and cover the pot. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the shrimp is opaque and cooked through.
  • Using a slotted spoon, remove the shrimp from the pot and serve immediately. Include a bowl for the shrimp shells for easy cleanup. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.

Notes

Feel free to adjust the Old Bay seasoning based on your taste preferences.
Adding extra lemon wedges can enhance the flavor if you love a zesty touch.
