Description

The Taco Bell Quesarito offers an irresistible combination of ground beef, melted cheese, and zesty sauces, making it a quick, satisfying meal for anyone craving homemade comfort food.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 ounce packet taco seasoning
  • ½ cup water
  • 8 large flour tortillas (burrito size)
  • 2 cups shredded mexican blend cheese (divided use)
  • 1 cup cooked seasoned rice (spanish rice or cilantro lime rice)
  • ½ cup nacho cheese sauce (or queso)
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ¼ cup creamy chipotle sauce

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium high heat, cook and crumble the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain any excess grease and return the beef to the skillet.
  2. Stir in the taco seasoning and water with the cooked beef, simmer until thick, then remove from heat.
  3. Warm a tortilla in a separate skillet over medium heat and sprinkle half the shredded cheese onto it, leaving a 2-inch border.
  4. Top the cheese with a second tortilla and allow it to melt, forming a quesadilla shell. Flip if needed to avoid burning the tortilla.
  5. Once melted, remove from heat and add a line of rice, taco meat, nacho cheese, sour cream, and chipotle sauce down the center. Adjust amounts to taste.
  6. Roll up tightly like a burrito, folding in the sides to seal.
  7. Place seam-side down back into the warm skillet for 1-2 minutes to lightly toast and seal.
  8. Slice and serve warm, repeating for remaining quesaritos.

Notes

Feel free to adjust the filling ingredients to suit your taste.
Cover the skillet while melting the quesadilla to help the cheese melt faster.
