- 5 eggs, separated
- 1 cup sugar, divided
- ⅓ cup whole milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 can evaporated milk, 12 ounces
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk, 14 ounces
- ¼ cup heavy cream, or whole milk
- 1 ¾ cup heavy whipping cream
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- ½ pound strawberries, sliced
- chocolate, shaved (optional)

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Separate the eggs.
- Beat the egg yolks with ¾ cup of sugar on high speed until pale yellow.
- Mix in the whole milk and vanilla.
- Pour the egg yolk mixture over the flour mixture and fold gently until combined.
- In another bowl, beat the egg whites on high speed until soft peaks form.
- While mixing, add the remaining ¼ cup of sugar and beat until the egg whites are stiff but not dry.
- Gently fold the egg white mixture into the batter until no white streaks remain.
- Pour the batter into a prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- In a small pitcher, combine evaporated milk, condensed milk, and ¼ cup heavy cream.
- Once the cake is cool, pierce the surface with a fork multiple times and slowly drizzle the milk mixture over the cake, focusing on the edges.
- Let the cake absorb the milk mixture for 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
- Whip the heavy cream with sugar and vanilla until thick and spreadable.
- Spread the whipped cream over the top and sides of the cake.
- Cut into squares and top with sliced strawberries, chocolate shavings, and cinnamon before serving.

This cake can be made a day in advance for better flavor.
